THE HEAT IS ON

THE HEAT IS ON

Today Mona was not her peppy little self. She was tired, cranky, moody, and depressed. She is the typical girl on her period. She just wants to be left alone and doesn’t want to eat much. She just wants to cuddle. Mona did manage to […]

Last weekend I was at my father in laws lake house in northern Minnesota. My family and I were greeted by Cindy a large Black Lab, Tommy the litter mate of Mona and two cats. Inside the house after we unpacked the car Tommy and […]

Stressballs

Today I had quite the amazing experience with my daughter and her crafts. My husband and daughter decided to make homemade stress balls. I can say that there are many days I need one of those stress balls they are making.

Stress balls consist of flour, a balloon, and a few other key ingredients all are super messy. My husband suggested they do the project outside out on our porch. Great idea! Less mess for me!

I went outside to check out the mess. First, I see is my daughter laughing her head off. I asked her what she was laughing about, and I turn to see her pointing to Mona and Bebe. Both pups look as if their entire faces were covered in white flour. Neither one of the dogs seemed to mind that they looks so hilarious! Flour was everywhere.

I had one of those mom moments that I had to sit back and remind myself a little flour isn’t going to hurt the dogs, my daughter or me. I had to remember to savor the moment that made us all laugh. I had to remember to breathe and live in the moment.
We all need to have a stress ball moment.
